Non finites verb
Question: What is Non finite verb?
Answer: There are some verbs which do not change with the forms inspite of changing tenses, number and person of subjects are non finites.
Non finites verb are mainly three types. Such as-
1. Participles, 2. Gerund, 3. infinitives.
Participle are again three classes. Such as-
1. Present Participle, 2. Past Participle
3. Perfect Participle.
Question: What is Present Participle?
Answer: ‘Ing’ forms of verbs that act as adjectives are called Present Participle.
Example: 1. I saw the boys playing in the field.
2. We found him working.
Question: What is Past Participle?
Answer: Adding d, ed, t with verbs or sometimes changing vowels we can make Past Participle. Example: 1. They have played very well.
2. The car made in Japan is running well.
Question: What is Perfect Participle?
Answer: Having + Past Participle form of verb is called Perfect Participle.
Example: 1. Having finished his work, he went home.
2. Having reached home, she began to cook food.
Question: What is Gerund?
Answer: If a verb with ‘ing’ form acts as both noun & verb, it is called Gerund.
Example: 1. Walking is a very good exercise.
2. Swimming is a difficult exercise.
Question: What is infinitives?
Answer: ‘To + verb’ (present form) forms an infinitive.
Example: 1. To walk in the morning is very good for health.
2. She went to market to buy dresses.
